About Us
The Lake Hihglands Republican Women's Club of Dallas, Texas was formed in December 1980. since its inception the Club mirrored the general trends of the Republican Party of Texas. The Republican Party has progressed from a minority party with few elected officials to a majority party with many elected officials; from the local level to the highest level of state and national government. The Lake Highlands Republican Women (LHRW) have contributed to this trend by contributing thousands of hours to local and state campaigns and even supplying candidates for office.
The objectives of the LHRW are:
- To promote an informed electorate through political education.
- To increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through active political participation.
- To foster loyalty to the Republican Party and to promote its principles and candidates.
- And to work for the election of the Republican Party's nominees.
Regular meetings of the LHRW are held the third Wednesday each month during the calendar school year.
